Charlotte is officially two months old and I cannot believe how fast the time is flying by. I am a little late sharing this update because things have been so busy! She had her two month appointment and weighs 9 pounds 13 ounces, she is growing so fast! She is still extremely cuddly and loves to be held. She really is the sweetest baby ever and it has been so fun for more of our friends and family to meet her over the past month. I’m using these posts as something I can look back on so please excuse me as I share way more details than you probably ever wanted to know!
In case you missed it, here is a post I did on our current favorite products and here is her one month update!
At about 4-5 weeks old she started sleeping at least 6 hours at night, which has been amazing! She typically sleeps 8 hours now at 8 weeks old and is still sleeping in our room in a bassinet. I’m honestly nervous to transition her into her room, it makes me feel more secure knowing she is right there if I need to grab her for any reason.
Changes
The biggest change this month has been how interactive and engaged she is! It is so much fun and melts our hearts when she smiles and coos at us. She tries to talk to us, looks us in the eye, and track us/objects with her eyes really well. She loves music and loves when we sing to her. We jam Taylor Swift A LOT and dance around the house.
Favorite Products
She loves her activity mat. We typically “play” on her mat every morning after her first feed of the day and she loves staring at all the toys on it! This one from Skiphop is the one we have and she seems to really like it! She is starting to get into toys and loves staring in the mirror of this pink turtle. She also started loving bath time this month! We have this bath tub for her and it has worked great for us.

Finally started enjoying bath time!

Schedule
This month we started venturing out more and with that it feels like her schedule has gone completely out the window! I have been determined to keep her on a schedule, but it is challenging.
Her schedule we try to stick to at 2 months is:
6:30 AM/ 8:30 AM/ 11 AM/ 1:30 PM/ 3:30 PM/ 5:30 PM / 8:00 PM / 10:00-10:30 PM (these are feed times)
As she is sleeping longer I have been feeding her more often because she’s up less hours in the day. This seems to be working for us!
Advice
My biggest advice for this stage is to let your loved ones help you! If someone offers to bring you dinner or to watch her while you run some errands – do it! Also take sometime for yourself. Go for a walk, take a bath, whatever you do that makes you feel recharged! It is good for everyone when Mama gets a break!
Apps we use:
Wonder Weeks is an app I read other bloggers talking about it and it has been super helpful. It alerts you when your baby is going through a mental leap and what you should expect. Charlotte has already gone through 2 leaps now and it helped so much to know why she was acting the way she was and what she is currently experiencing.
Get an app to track your feed times. We use baby connect and there are a ton of different features on it. One thing I love about it is that you can share it with your husband or nanny. My mom is going to watch Charlotte while I go back to work so she has the app so she can record when she feeds and we are all on the same page of where she’s at that day! You can also record diaper changes, naps, weight, and so much more!
Another thing that helped me with the app is you can see a list view every day of your feed times and if we got off schedule I could go back for a few days and realize there was a pattern and make her schedule off of that.
These past two months have been challenging and we have learned so much. I still have so much to learn and am just so thankful I get to be Charlotte’s mom! If you have any questions or advice for me, please leave it in the comments below or send me an email. I love hearing from ya’ll!

Laura
