Liza Grace is getting big so fast and I am savoring every second of the baby stage! This past month she has been so much more alert and gives us the most heart melting smiles! I have had some questions about our favorite products for baby #2 and a lot of them are still the same products I used with Charlotte. See below for an explanation of the tops products we have been using over the last three months.
These Halo swaddle sleep sacks were what I used for Charlotte and now use with Liza Grace. Specifically the ones from Pottery Barn Kids are much nicer quality than the same brand at other stores. Both of my girls were sleeping 6-7 hour stretches at 6-8 weeks old. We tried the swaddle blankets and these are way better at keeping them from breaking out!
The Baby Bjorn carrier is a new purchase that I wish I had with Charlotte. I love this and have used it so much. It is very comfortable and feels very secure!
I could never live without the Dockatot. Both of the girls slept in it every night and I think thats part of why they sleep so well!
I now have two Munchkin diaper pails. I like the way they look and they lock in the smell so well. I tried the Ubbi and was not a fan, it is very low to the ground and didn’t have a pedal.
The Owlet sock monitor gives me so much peace of mind. We used it with Charlotte and now are using with Liza. It also helps me feel so much more comfortable when they move to their own room!
I love the Infant Optics Baby Monitor. We got a second camera for Liza’s room and you can view both babies on the one monitor. I prefer to not have a monitor that works with wifi, but I can totally understand why people like them. If you work outside of your home or have a nanny, I would definitely have one so that I could check in. A bunch of my friends love the Nanit, it has some really cool features.
Gripe Water works so well for my babies. If they are gassy or really fussy, I give them gripe water and I can instantly tell a difference.
We have a sound machine in every bedroom in our house. Lee and I can be watching a really loud movie and you cannot hear it at all in the girls’ rooms. I used to wake up so much in the night and have trouble falling asleep until I started using one of these.
This little chair is a new purchase and it is AMAZING. The price is so good and Liza loves it! We have the 4Moms Mamaroo and both of the girls didn’t love it. After about 5 minutes they were over it. This is much more affordable and super easy to move around the house.
Comotomo bottles have worked great for both girls. I haven’t had any issues with nipple confusion. I’ve also had a ton of friends with babies that wouldn’t take a bottle until they tried these.
Charlotte did great with the wubbanub pacifiers from day 1 but Liza was NOT a fan. She couldn’t keep them in her mouth and would act like they were gagging her. We have been using these from Philips Advent and they stay in much better. It’s also kind of nice that Charlotte & Liza use different kinds so we don’t have to worry about germs spreading! And yes… we need to wean Charlotte off the pacifier but I am just not tough enough at the moment! 🙂
I tried several burp cloths and the Aden & Anais brand are by far my favorite. They are peanut shaped and stay on your shoulder so well. They hold up really well in the wash too. There are 15+ patterns linked above.
The Freemie pump is another new product for me. Check with your insurance about what kind of breast pump they cover. I got the Freemie totally free, which was so nice! I already have the Spectra so I wanted to try this out to see if I liked it. It is SO handy to be hands free, especially now that I have two little ones. If you have questions on this pump, I am happy to answer. I try to pump every night to build my freezer stash and haven’t used my spectra one time since having Liza.
I hope this was helpful for ya’ll! If you have any questions please feel free to comment below or you can always send me an email!

Laura
