For Christmas, my sweet mother-in-law gave me a gift certificate for her favorite skincare professional, Taylor Kirkpatrick. I hadn’t had a facial since high school, so I was thrilled! I instantly loved Taylor and have been back to see her every month since I started in January. My skin has never looked better, she is seriously the best!!
She told me that one of her most popular services is the Novalash eyelash extensions and I decided to try them out! For years, I have seen people with eyelash extensions and have always been curious about them but I had never really looked into getting them until I met Taylor and knew I really could trust her with my skincare and lashes!
I wanted to answer a few questions I have received about them over the last few days.
Why did you decide to get eyelash extensions?
The main reason is, I wasn’t happy with my eyelashes. After my college years of not taking off my mascara at night, my eyelashes were still thick but they never stay curled no matter what I tried. With a baby on the way it will be so convenient to be able to wake up and feel more put together when I know I will feel and look beyond exhausted! Plus with summer trips, weddings and parties coming up, it was the perfect time for me!
Do you love them? What are the pros and cons?
I have only had them for a few days and cannot tell you how much I love them! I can leave the house with zero makeup on and still feel 100% presentable. I feel more confident and overall better about myself! So far, I haven’t had any issues with them!
How do you take care of them? How long do they last?
The process of getting your first extensions takes about 2 hours and is very relaxing! After that you go back every 2-3 weeks to have them refilled, which takes about an hour. To take care of them, you should get the nighttime cleansing pads from Taylor for cleaning your lashes which also keeps them moisturized and helps make them last longer. Taylor will also give you a lash wand to comb the lashes free of any tangles!
What type of eyelash extensions are they?
The lashes she uses are called Novalashes. They look so natural and really enhance your lashes. They are waterproof and look so great you don’t even need to wear mascara. If you do want to wear mascara, Taylor sells mascara that works with the lashes!
Will they harm my natural lashes?How much are they?
The full initial set is $175 and refills are $75. There is also a classic set which the same thing but with less time, so less lashes. I did the full set! Mention my name – “LAURA” to get $20 off your initial lash set!
