I cannot thank Donna Cummings Photography enough for these incredible photos! The pictures of Charlotte & Liza together are my absolute favorite! When we had newborn photos done with Charlotte, I was SO nervous about how she would do and I had no idea what to expect. Charlotte & Liza Grace both did great for the newborn photos, it gets trickier as they get older!!
A few things I have learned from all of our photography sessions:
- Feed them (no matter their age) right before you leave the house
- Pack everything you need in the car or at the door the night before (outfit, socks, shoes, hair bows, etc!)
- Don’t put their outfit on until they get there. It will get wrinkled in the carseat or something will inevitably spill!
- I have found that scheduling photography in the morning usually goes better no matter what age
- Learn tricks to get your baby to smile for photos! There are certain noises or phrases we say with Charlotte that make her smile every time!
- Bring LOTS of snacks
- Hire a PRO!
If you are local to the Tyler area, I cannot recommend Donna Cummings Photography enough! They have a baby package where you can do newborn photos, 6 months, 9 months and 12 months! We did it with Charlotte and are doing the same with Liza Grace. It is definitely an investment, but I am SO thankful to have these beautiful photos to look back on for each little stage that first year! I also give the photos as gifts to their grandparents as Mother’s Day/ Christmas and they LOVE having beautiful photos of their grandkids!
The most amazing thing I have noticed is that Charlotte (who can be shy at first) is so comfortable there which leads to us getting better photos! The ladies who work there are INCREDIBLE and so kind! They go out of their way to try everything to get the best photos possible, even when your toddler is being super moody!
I hope these tips were helpful!

Laura
