The final countdown is on until we finally meet baby sister!
This pregnancy was a HUGE surprise! Telling our friends and family was so hilarious because everyone was truly so shocked! We couldn’t be more excited to add another little girl to our family!
I had a really easy pregnancy with Charlotte for the most part and wasn’t sure what to expect for baby #2. It has definitely been different! My morning sickness was much worse and I think I forgot just how exhausted you are during the first trimester. It has definitely been challenging keeping up with Charlotte while pregnant and feeling like there just isn’t enough time for rest!
Pregnancy Must Haves
App: I love reading the weekly update on the Bump app to see what’s going on with the baby and I also love the planner feature that has a weekly checklist of things you should be doing. I also use the Ovia app, I love how it has a calendar feature so you can easily jump ahead and see how many weeks you will be at any given date. Ovia also has a fertility app that I use when not pregnant to keep track of my cycle.
Stretch mark oil: My bump grew so much faster than my last pregnancy! I use Noodle & Boo elasticity oil religiously! Don’t forget to put it on your love handle area, the only place I got stretch marks during my last pregnancy.
Prenatal: Have you seen everyone on the internet talking about Ritual vitamins? Well they sucked me in, and I am taking their prenatal now. I’m not going to lie, it leaves a pretty gross aftertaste in your mouth so I take it at night now before I go to bed!
Lululemon Align Leggings: Pregnant or not, the align legging is the BEST! They are so comfortable and they stretch with the bump. They hold you in and make you feel supported without feeling too constricting on the bump. They are great for postpartum too!
DL1961 Jeans: I ordered a ton of different maternity jeans to try and these were the only brand that I liked. They are still comfortable to wear at 36 weeks and they don’t make me feel frumpy! I also will wear these postpartum with longer tops until my regular jeans fit! Size down, they run big!
Mom’s on Call: I read several different books while pregnant. If I had to choose one to recommend, it would definitely be Mom’s on Call. It is so informative and I live by their schedules! I love how the schedules are very straight forward and easy to follow. I started reading their toddler book recently to help with disciplining Charlotte and realized that they have schedules for a new baby + toddler that shows how to make their schedules align. I truly almost burst into tears, I was SO happy to see something like that existed! I have been really worried about how I am going to survive with two and having some sort of schedule to go off of made me feel 100 times better! Lee and I said before we had Charlotte that we would never let our baby’s schedule rule our life. We quickly realized the more they follow their schedule, the happier they are, which means the happier you ALL are!
Spanx Bra: Holy moly I have never loved a bra this much! The Spanx bra is absolutely perfect for pregnancy because it is stretchy, so comfortable and can grow with you as you grow! I think it will be great to nurse in too since it’s so stretchy you can just pull it down.
Yeti Cup: I use my Yeti cups so much! I do my best to drink a ton of water while pregnant and afterwards to help with my milk supply. I always drink water faster when its cold, so I love that these cups keep your drink cooler for longer!
The second pregnancy has felt easier than the first! I’m much more relaxed, less paranoid + I don’t really have time to worry about things like I did the first time since I am so busy taking care of Charlotte!
I am nervous about how I will juggle two under two and what that will look like! I know it will be challenging but am so excited for the two of them to grow up together so close in age! I will do my best to keep y’all updated! 🙂 If you have any questions, please email me or leave them in the comments below.
xo,
Laura
